B. Stanton Breon, CFA, CPA, is a Managing Member of Accumus Investments, LLC, which directs investments for his family real estate holdings. Accumus was formed in 2009, with its first series of investments originating from banks looking to liquidate their real estate portfolios. Accumus makes targeted investments in office buildings, student housing, developed residential and office lots, and raw land.
Prior to these positions, he served as a Director, co-owner and CFO/COO of VEF Advisors, LLC from its inception in 2003 until its sale in 2006 to its joint venture partner. He also served as the President and CEO of Windship Capital Markets, LLC, an NASD registered Broker-Dealer specializing in private placements of real estate related securities, which he founded in 2005.
Previously, Mr. Breon was the Assistant Portfolio Manager for the inaugural Value Enhancement Fund (“VEF”) in 1992 and later became Portfolio Manager. VEF was one of a Portfolio of Equitable Real Estate Investment Management funds which invested and managed institutional investments in real estate.
During the 14 years that Mr. Breon was involved with VEF, it grew to manage over $2B in assets. In addition to his management responsibilities, he was also head of the regional asset management team, as well as hotel asset management and acquisitions. He was directly involved with all aspects of the business from property acquisitions to investor relations, dealing with institutions such as Raytheon, Toyota, Toshiba, and UPS. Mr. Breon was also deeply involved in financing for the Value Enhancement Fund Series, arranging over $600 million in Portfolio financings and over $200 million in asset level financings during his tenure.
Mr. Breon received a BS in Business from Towson University and a MS in Real Estate from Georgia State University. Mr. Breon holds the CFA designation and is a licensed CPA. He is a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the CFA Society.

Dr. Hart has directed a federally-funded research program for over 20 years and has trained over 30 pre- and post-doctoral trainees. A consistent focus of his lab has been on the biology of vascular wall cells and the roles played by reactive oxygen and nitrogen species in vascular health and disease. His recent work has clarified that the nuclear hormone receptor, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, plays a critical role in the regulation of vascular function. In addition to directing his research program, Dr. Hart has enjoyed mentoring numerous pre- and post-doctoral trainees as well as junior faculty members in laboratory research, has served as the PI of an NIH T32 Training Grant, and has received recognition for his accomplishments in education and mentoring. He also maintains an active clinical practice in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
Dr. Hart received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his MD degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He performed clinical training in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He remained on faculty at the University of Florida for two years before moving to Indiana University in 1990. At IU he achieved the rank of Associate Professor of Medicine with tenure along with a joint appointment in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics. While at Indiana University, Dr. Hart also became the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Training Program Director. In 2000, he was recruited to Emory University and served as the Chief of the Pulmonary Section at the Atlanta VA Medical Center until 2009. He is currently Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Emory University, and serves as the Associate Chief of Staff for Research at the Atlanta VA Medical Center and Assistant Dean for VA Research in the Emory School of Medicine.

Lieutenant General (Ret) Ken Keen is a native of Hyden, Kentucky. Following graduation as a distinguished military graduate from Eastern Kentucky University, he was commissioned as a 2LT in the Infantry in December 1974. LTG (Ret) Keen retired from active duty on 1 March 2013.
LTG (Ret) Keen is currently the Associate Dean of Leadership Development and a Senior Lecturer in Organization and Management for Emory University's Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, he manages a school-wide leadership development program and teaches leadership courses, which includes teaching an Advanced Leadership course; crisis leadership seminars; developing high performing teams executive course; implementing a Coaching Fellows Program; and coaching in the Advanced Leadership Academy. He also serves as the Co-Director of the Emory Executive Coaching Diploma Program.
LTG (Ret) Keen served 38 years in the Army with over 11 years working and living abroad in the Republic of Panama, Brazil, Colombia, Haiti, Germany, Egypt, and Pakistan. Ken commanded a SCUBA detachment in 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group; a company and Battalion in the 82nd Airborne Division; Joint Task Force - Haiti following the Jan 2010 earthquake; as well as serving on three U.S. Embassy Country Teams leading all military forces in Colombia, Haiti, and Pakistan during crisis periods. He participated in Operation JUST CAUSE in 1989 as the Assistant S3 of the 75th Ranger Regiment; commanded a Ranger Task Force during Operation DESERT STORM in 1990, as part of a Joint Special Operations Command, while serving as the S3 of the 1st Ranger Battalion; was the Executive Officer and Commander of 1st Ranger Battalion; and was the 11th Colonel of the 75th Ranger Regiment from 1999 to 2001.
LTG (Ret) Keen is a graduate of the Brazilian Command and General Staff College, Defense Language Institute - Portuguese Course, the University of Florida's Master of Arts in Latin American Studies program, and U.S. Army War College.
LTG (Ret) Keen also serves on several non-profit Boards in support of military veterans, education, and international humanitarian organizations. Ken is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the U.S. Army War College; on the Board of Visitors for the Western Hemisphere of Security Cooperation; Board member for the Witness to War Foundation; Board member of the Community Organized Relief Effort; Chairman of the Ranger Hall of Fame Board; and Honorary Colonel of the 75th Ranger Regiment. LTG (Ret) Keen also serves as an Executive Coach with TrueGrowth Leadership and as a Senior Fellow for the National Defense University.
In 2016, LTG (Ret) Keen was inducted into the U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame and the National Reserve Officer Training Corps Hall of Fame.

Virginia Krawiec, MPA, was a Program Director in the American Cancer Society Extramural Research Department. During her employment with ACS she was responsible for six American Cancer Society grant programs that supported the clinical and/or research training of cancer health professionals (nurses, physicians and social workers). Ms. Krawiec also directed the Institutional Research Grant program, which provided block grants to institutions in support of beginning investigators to conduct cancer research pilot projects. Ms. Krawiec joined the Society’s National Home Office in 1987. Prior to ACS, Ms. Krawiec had been the administrator of the Sleep-Neuroendocrine Research Unit, a Mental Health Clinical Research Center at New York State Psychiatric Institute.
Ms. Krawiec is a graduate of La Salle University and Long Island University, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology with honors and a master’s degree in public administration. She is a member of American Association for Cancer Education for which she has served as secretary and director. In recognition of her contributions to cancer education, she was awarded the Association’s 2012 Margaret Hay Edwards Achievement Medal.

Kai Mentzer was appointed Medical Center Director effective June 3, 2024.
Mr. Mentzer began his healthcare career in 2007, joining the ranks of the Tucson Medical Center, a renowned non-profit community hospital in Tucson, Arizona. In 2009, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Veterans, Mr. Mentzer transitioned to the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he served as a Technical Career Field (TCF) Intern at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson, Arizona.
In 2011, Mr. Mentzer's journey took him to Bay Pines, Florida, a pivotal move that marked his rise as a multifaceted healthcare leader. As a vital member of the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (BPVAHCS) within the VA Sunshine Healthcare Network (VISN 8), he assumed a diverse range of responsibilities. In particular, he held the positions of Assistant Chief and Administrative Officer for the nation's largest Environmental Management Service (EMS). In this capacity, he exhibited exceptional organizational prowess by overseeing a vast team of nearly 400 employees, each contributing to the pivotal functions of housekeeping, interior design, minor maintenance, transportation and grounds programs, and a VISN consolidated linen facility. His leadership also extended to his roles as the acting Chief Logistics Officer, the healthcare system's Integrated Ethics Program Officer, and Health System Specialist to the Director.
This experience paved the way for his next chapter in the South Central VA Health Care Network (VISN 16), where he took on the role of Assistant Director at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Louisiana in January 2017. He then joined the G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, as the acting Associate Medical Center Director and later accepted the appointment permanently.
Mr. Mentzer proudly served in the United States Army starting in 2003, focusing on Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Radiological operations. His experiences spanned across the globe, encompassing domestic and international missions in Afghanistan, South Korea, and the continental United States.
He graduated from the University of Arizona and Southern Columbia University, receiving his Master's in Organizational Leadership.
In pursuit of continuous education and professional development, Mr. Mentzer graduated from the Healthcare Leadership Development Program in 2015. Additionally, he remains an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has served as an active VHA certified mentor since 2010.

Dr. Robert R. Norvel Jr., M.D., MBA, was appointed as the Chief of Staff for the Atlanta VA Health Care System in July 2022. Before his appointment, he served as the Acting Chief of Staff for the VA Northeast Healthcare System, a detail from his role as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Veterans Integrated Network 7, where he has served for the past six years as special advisor to the Chief Medical Officer for clinical oversight, compliance, and quality of care for the eight VA hospitals in VISN 7.
In Dr. Norvel’s 25-year VA career, he has served as the Acting Chief of Staff for the Tomah VA Medical Center, Acting Chief Medical Officer for Veterans Service Integrated Network (VISN) 7, Acting Chief of Staff for the Columbia South Carolina VA, Acting Chief of Staff for the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, the Acting Chief of Staff for the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, the Physician Manager of the Trinka Davis Veterans Village, the Deputy Chief of Ambulatory Care at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, Emergency Director for The Atlanta VA Medical Center, The Tuscaloosa VA and The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA. He has been a full-time staff physician at the Mountain Home VA and a locum tenens physician for the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Medical Center, the Asheville VA Medical Center, the Fayetteville, Arkansas VA Medical Center, the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center, the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center and the Roseburg VA Medical Center.
In 1988, Dr. Norvel received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Alcorn State University (Lorman, MS), where he was the second generation to graduate from this Historically Black University. He attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center and earned his M.D. in 1993. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at The Miriam Hospital Brown University in 1994 and his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1996. Dr. Norvel is a 2010 graduate of Leadership VA and obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama in 2009.

Dr. Park completed her undergraduate studies at Rice University and received her MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis, MO during which she served as a Clinical Scientist Training and Research (C-STAR) fellow. She completed her clinical Nephrology fellowship at the University of Southern California and postdoctoral research training at both USC and UCLA and also received an MS of Biomedical and Clinical Investigations/translational research track from the Keck School of Medicine at USC. She joined the Renal faculty at Emory University in November 2008. She is board-certified in Nephrology and is an American Society of Hypertension (ASH) Clinical Specialist in Hypertension.
Dr. Park's human physiology research is focused on the regulation of the sympathetic nervous system in patients at high cardiovascular risk, particularly those with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, smokers, and stress disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The lab is funded by NIH, VA Merit, DoD and foundation awards.
Dr. Park cares for patients weekly at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Her clinical interests include management of chronic kidney disease (CKD), cardiovascular risk in CKD, resistant and difficult to control hypertension. She also attends on the Renal Consultation service at the Atlanta VAMC.
